Fiscal deficit seen at 4.6 pct of GDP in 2013/14

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Finance Minister P. Chidambaram told parliament that the country's fiscal deficit would be contained at 4.6 percent of GDP in 2013/14, beating his own target.

Chidambaram was presenting an interim budget to tide public finances over until a new government is formed after elections due by May.
