Nifty hits record high above 8,150; blue chips gain

Reuters Market Eye - The Nifty hits fresh all-time high above 8,150 and the Sensex also hits a record high at 27,262.25, surpassing all-time highs hit on Wednesday. The indices were both trading around 0.8 percent higher in afternoon trade.

Blue chips gain on continued foreign buying. ICICI Bank is up 0.8 percent.

Oil and Natural Gas Corp gains 2 percent after Bank of America Merrill Lynch upgrades the stock to "buy" from "neutral".
