Reuters Market Eye - The BSE Sensex and the Nifty on Monday hit their lowest level since Sept. 1 with both indexes headed for the biggest single-day fall since Aug. 8.
The BSE Sensex and the broader Nifty were tracking weak global stocks on anxiety about early Fed rate hikes and China factory output.
The Sensex was down 0.72 percent while the 50-share Nifty was trading 0.69 percent lower as of 10:26 a.m.
Housing Development Finance Corp was down 1.8 percent, while ITC Ltd was lower 1.1 percent.
Traders said CPI data on Friday had a limited impact given that it came within expectations.
