Dell Connect allows the company's tech-support executives to access a customer's PC from a remote location, diagnose and correct the problems. The service is available to Dell customers, who have broadband connections, at no extra cost.
Tim Griffin, director, services sales and marketing, said, "We are actively targeting India where we are quite strong in the large enterprise segment. Our idea is to improve the market share of both Dell's desktop and notebook business in the HSB segment."
He said Dell's services business in India was growing faster than the hardware business. "We are also bringing in more services capability to our portfolio including managed services, installations, configure management and image management," he added.
Currently, Dell's services business contributes about 9 per cent to the company's total turnover.
