In a bid to facilitate small and medium enterprises in Rajkot, Rajkot Engineering Association (REA) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) are planning to start a help desk called Credit Facilitation Centre (CFC) to provide information about finance schemes.
The centre will begin its operations soon. While REA will provide infrastructure support for CFC, SIDBI will give all kind of information regarding finance to the SMEs and MSMEs. This kind of facility is available first time in the Saurashtra region.
"Our objective to start the CFC in Rajkot is to create awareness about the available finance facilities for small businesses," said Neeraj Bhalla, manager SIDBI, Rajkot branch office.
The center will guide new and existing entrepreneurs regarding availability of schemes of SIDBI and other commercial banks. It also informs SMEs and MSMEs about government subsidies and benefits for the units. The CFC will provide borrowers with debt counseling and facilitate response to queries raised by banks, if any.
