The 4th meeting of the Asis-Pacific Texite and Clothing Industry Forum (ASPAC-TCIF) opened in New Delhi, yesterday. The meeting is deliberating on ways to strengthen the textile and clothing in Asia Pacific region. A wide variety of subjects like development of trade and investment, use of information technology and multifarious use of natural fibers are expected to be discussed. The 2 day meeting will be inaugurated by Shyamal Ghosh, textiles secretary to the Government of India. India is expected to put forward its views on wide range of subjects relating to the textile sector.
