364-Day Treasury Bills Auction Results
The Reserve Bank has announced the results of its repos auction held yesterday. The total number of bids accepted was 35 for an amount of Rs 4204 crore at a cut-off repos rate of 5.0 per cent.
The State Bank of India (SBI) has appointed K Govindan as deputy managing director (International Banking) at the banks central office in Mumbai. Govindan was president & CEO and country manager (US) at New York before this appointment.
National Westminster Bank Plc on Tuesday reported a jump in operating profit but the banks shares dipped after it warned of an economic slowdown in 1998 and did not perform an expected share repurchase.
