Not everybody hates scribes. So at least this fellow scribe learnt recently. The Asian Paints episode, which has hogged the front pages of every financial daily in the past three weeks revealed the 'benefits of perseverance. The scribe, who had been scouting around the Asian Paints corporate office, chasing promoters, officials and just about every fly to get that extra bit of information, received a piece of advice from one of the Asian Paints promoters. The gentleman, in exasperation (and possibly a lighter vein), offered this scribe a permanent cabin within the office premise so he could cover proceedings on a 24-hour basis in his new beat and not trouble them.
