Bhel Tiruchirapalli Unit Bags Rs 2,200cr Order

Bhel, Tiruchirapalli has so far supplied 514 steam generators of which 435 have been commissioned. It has exported 18 boilers to Malaysia, Libya, Egypt, the US and China., besides converting nine oil-based power plants of the Malaysian Electricity Authority into gas-based ones. The total value was Rs 187 crore. The unit's turnover last year was Rs 1400 crore and profit before taxation, Rs 120 crore.
