Bullish on debtDebt, debt and more debt. This time, it's on bullish foreign institutional investors (FIIs) eyeing the

Indian debt markets. Two of them, Peregrine and Jardine Fleming, are waiting in the wings till Budget time.

And if the Budget announcements measure upto their expectations, we may see these two FIIs pumping in $ 100 million dollars each into the debt markets in India. There's no doubt that debt paper from India is the flavour of the times.

Parande moves on

S M Parande, ex-Ashok Leyland Finance, and more recently managing director of Ispat Finance, has moved on to Mafatlal Asset Management Company as its MD. And that debunks the belief that job-hopping in the higher rungs of the financial sector has come to a standstill. Circles close to Parande say the offer from the AMC was substantially higher. It must have been. Why otherwise would one want to join an AMC now?
