Countrywide I-T Search In Mesco Offices
The income tax department yesterday searched the offices of Mesco and its group companies as well as the residence of its promoter, Rita Singh, in a country wide exercise lasting throughout the day.
Besides Singhs farmhouse in the capital, the searches are reported to have been carried out at Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Details of the findings from the searches could not, however, be ascertained.

Neither Rita Singh nor other senior officials of the company could be contacted for details.
There was no response to the calls made at the farmhouse while the groups office telephones remained busy all through the day.
