This will be the first combined optical fibre communication and Scada system being implemented by an Indian company. The contract entails supply and commissioning of optical fibre communication at 14 stations on the pipeline which includes three station control centres and one master control centre at Haldia.
The Scada system continuously monitors the health of the pipeline and helps in otimising the utilisation of the pipeline facility. Telecommunications Consultants (India) Ltd and Supreme Telecommunications will be the associate vendors in the project, the press release said.
