Finsights,A Personal Finance Site, Launched

Finsights.com, an interactive personal finance web boutique for Indians, was launched recently with the aim of providing space to create and monitor one's own finances.

The web boutique will allow users to analyse personal finance opportunities, locate and buy finance products. It also offers advisory services in personal taxation and financial planning. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) procedures for investment and borrowings by overseas Indians are also detailed.

Finsights.com plans to use channels like investments, loans, tax planning and RBI procedures for non-resident Indians (NRIs). The products it will be marketing and selling through the aforementioned channels are: mutual funds, fixed income investment, bank and company deposits, post office savings schemes, tax saving schemes, Unit Trust of India (UTI) schemes, comprehensive income tax and capital gains tax computations, tax saving advisors and products, interactive modules advising on RBI procedures for investing and borrowing in India.

In its loans channel, Finsights will give out home loans, car loans, credit cards, personal loans, loans against shares, consumer durable loans and education loans.

Besides providing products, it has some in-built services like digital advisors, jargon busters, FAQs, bookstores, discussion boards.

The primary revenue model of Finsights.com is through commissions on sale of investment and loan products, sub commissions on e-broking, subscription to portions to tax and NRI planning channels, revenue from on-line trading, content licensing to other sites and from advertising.
