Top officials of Usha groups Techno Telecom, which holds the LoI for Bihar, told Business Standard late yesterday that they would sign the agreements.

Sources say Reliance Telecom, the Gujarat LoI holder, may also decide to sign the agreements. Group scion, Anil Ambani is reported to have met communications minister Beni Prasad Verma yesterday. Reliance officials denied this.

With two companies likely to sign on the dotted line, it is just a matter of time before others follow suit, sources feel. Top sources at Essar Commvision, the Punjab LoI holder, said as an interim solution they were willing to pay for the interconnect equipment till such time that the issue of interconnect charges is resolved.
