The 43rd All India Handloom Exhibition, displaying traditional handloom products of Tamil Nadu, will be inaugurated in Coimbatore on June 4. PTI Kancheepuram silks, Coimbatore cotton and Khora sarees, Chinnalapatti sarees, Chennimalai bedsheets and lungies would be on display and sale at a single place in 90 stalls in the 15-day exhibition. Last year the exhibition sold handloom products worth Rs 3.66 crore. The sales target this year is Rs 4 crore. PTI

The UN committee was discussing the legal issues involved in space debris created by users of space for various scientific and commercial activities.

Orders to this effect have been issued by the power ministryRajendra Singh was appointed to the post of CMD for a period of five years which ended on May 31. He had jointed as director (personnel) on NTPC board in June 1988 before taking over as CMD in June 1992.

The delegation would be looking at opportunities for sub-contract in areas of automotive, medical, power supplies and cards, cable assemblies etc,Electronics and Software Export Promotion Council executive director R H Naqvi said.
