India and Russia are expected to sign an MoU confirming a nine-year deal to set up two 1,000 mw light water reactors for an atomic power plant in Tamil Nadu with Russian technical know-how, sources here said. A Russian delegation would be visiting New Delhi shortly to finalise the financial aspects of the Kundakulam nuclear plant deal including a $60 million contract for a detailed project report by Russian experts, the sources said. An Indian team led by nuclear power corporation managing director Y S R Prasad was in the city recently to discuss financial and other aspects of the deal.
