Innovative Billing Can Raise Seb Revenue, Says Ibm Study

An IBM Consulting study has recommended that state electricity boards (SEBs) introduce innovative billing and collection methods to increase revenues.
IBM Consulting had carried out the information technology study for the Punjab State Electricity Board .
The study has also indicated that a one-time investment of five to 10 per cent of a state electricity board's revenue can lead to a 10 per cent annual increase in its revenue.
Punjab State Electricity Board has already initiated a pilot project based on the IBM Consulting study.
Other boards, including those of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, have also reportedly shown interest in the study's recommendations.
