Intel, the world's largest chip-maker, yesterday announced its multi-million dollar education initiative Project Vidya' for India. Under this project, Intel will work with Jiva - a private sector educational institution and the National Centre for Software Technology to enable schools across the country to adopt latest computing technology as a tool for learning. Intel plans to have at least 30 schools connected on-line, trained and effectively using multimedia computers and Internet as tools for learning by the year end, Intel country manager Atul Vijaykar said.
