Interpol Set To Issue Red Alert On Quattrocchi

A red corner alert notice is being issued by the Interpol headquarters for the arrest of Italian businessman Ottavio Quattroc-chi, who is wanted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the alleged kickbacks in the Bofors 155 mm howitzer guns deal.
CBI sources said the Interpol headquarters at Lyons in France will issue the notice by today even as two senior cbi officials who are in Kuala Lumpur with the arrest warrant for Quattrocchi, continued talks with the Malay-sian Interpol officials yesterday.
CBI additional director l Rev-annasiddaiah and deputy inspector-general n r wasan, who met for an hour with Interpol officials at the Malaysian police headquarters on Saturday, are believed to have handed over all the papers relating to the arrest warrant issued by special judge Ajit Bharihoke against Quattrocchi, who has been named as one of the five recipients of kickbacks in the Rs 1,400 crore gun deal.
