L & T Hiving Off Infotech Division
The move is part of a restructuring exercise that L&T has embarked upon to focus on core competency. The new company will be a 100-per cent subsidiary of L&T but the financial details are being worked out. Sources said the new entity could also be an export-oriented unit.
S R Talwar, who heads the ISD wing, said the step is being taken with a view to align L&T's software business with the overall industry .
