There are some absurdities in the IT laws. If an employee gets medical benefits from the empl-oyer, the latter gets deduction for the same from his income. But there is no deduction for medical expenses of the self-employed and his family For example, if he is hospitalised entailing a huge expenditure, nothing shall be granted to him. Instead, it is likely that a search/enquiry may start by the IT department to find out from where he got the money.
