Medical College Told To Cancel Certificates

Justice N G Das asked the authority to take action against former Chief Minister Sudhir Ranjan Majumders secretary Amal Roy, who was a party to the case. The court also instructed the medical colleges of the country to withdraw certificates, if already issued to any MBBS student, till the case was finalised.
The CBI sought six months to probe the irregularities but the court agreed to give three months. An interim report had been submitted to the court by the CBI. The court expressed satisfaction over the report which recognised the prima-facie of the irregularities in allotment of medical quotas.
Earlier, the judge of the Agartala Bench of the Guwahati High Court, Justice Anup Kumar Deb, directed the state government to file an FIR in New Delhis Chanakyapuri police station and also hand over the FIR along with all relevant documents to the CBI for investigation.
The court also asked the CBI director to depute officials to investigate into the reported irregularities of allotment of medical quotas and submit its final report within three months and interim progress report within a month.
