Not Communal

This refers to the biased approach of some writers towards the role of BJP by describing the ideological driving force of BJP/RSS as a communal one and by terming the same as a threat to the nation. It seems that they did not hear the speech of Atal Behari Vajpayee, leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha on the no-confidence motion against the UF government, when he emphasised on the concept of stability in Indian politics and urged the Congress and the UF to have a coalition government in the interest of the nation. This certainly is a very pragmatic approach and not at all communal.

Further, it has been proved by the governments own statistics that in the states ruled by BJP and its allies, communal riots have been the least. Its ideology, namely Hindutva, is not a communal concept as has been made clear by the Supreme Courts recent judgement.
