Declaration of 'long' buy orders mandatory: NSE
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has said that it is
mandatory for all members to declare all 'long' buy-orders at the time of order entry on the system, in addition to the declaration of short-sales positions. Long buy for this purpose would mean "buying the shares without having the intention of taking the physical delivery of the shares in the same settlement and in the same stock exchange unless it is for squaring up an earlier short sale position in the same settlement and in the same stock exchange.'' The directive was effective from yesterday, NSE officials said.
NSE completes 118th settlement
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has successfully completed its 118th settlement yesterday. The total value of the settlement (number 1997006) was Rs 719.30 crore for securities and Rs 110.16 crore in funds. The pay-out has been completed and all shortages to the extent of 1.30 per cent has been successfully auctioned.
