Oda Commitments

India should make a forceful plea at the forthcoming special session of the UN General Assembly for the realisation of the committed contribution of developed nations for sustainable development, Abid Hussain, member of the high level UN advisory board on sustainable development has said. Hussain said it was regrettable that the developed nations commitments to official development assistance (ODA) had drastically come down to 0.27 per cent as against their assurance to contribute 0.7 per cent of gross national product (GNP).
