Japan has decided to give official development assistance (ODA) loans to 10 Indian projects during 1997-98. The loans, whose amount will be announced in New Delhi on Tuesday, are being extended to projects in Punjab, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra, Orissa and West Bengal in the field of irrigation, agriculture, transport, forestry and power sectors, Yutaka Ohashi, director of the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund operations department for India, said here.
