Indian Railways has decided to provide satellite-based telephone services in all the Rajdhani express trains during 1997-98. At present, 11 Rajdhani expresses run in the country and some more are to be introduced. Now, the telephone service is available in only two Rajdhanis""Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express and Hazrat Nizamuddin (New Delhi)-Mumbai August Kranti Rajdhani Express. Railways has not, however, given a timeframe in which this target will be achieved.
