The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has identified five projects for private participation.

The projects are a health farm-cum-tourist complex and a nature and marine park at Gorai; a tourist complex with marine park, beach resort and a nature park as well as a bird sanctuary at Manori and a budget resort, including a tent resort, at Shirgaon Satpati.

The two Gorai projects will be spread across 51 hectares and 106 hectares, respectively. The Manori tourist complex will be built over 30 hectares, while the nature park and bird sanctuary will be spread over 288 hectares. The proposed budget hotel at Shirgaon Satpati will come on a 49-hectare plot, MTDC managing director Aruna Bagchee told investors at an Advantage Maharashtra seminar on tourism yesterday.
