PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Binay Kumar has demanded an amendment to the RBI (Amendment) Ordinance 1997, prohibiting unincorporated bodies, including individuals from accepting deposits even from relatives and friends for lending, describing it as a harsh blow to small business. The unorganised sector will suffer as the credit penetration of the organised sector was limited, said a chamber press release.
