Sandoz Staff Bag Plum Posts In Novartis
The two companies recently announced nominees for the top managerial positions in Novartis India. Of the 49 nominees announced till now, Sandoz is represented by 29 officials, thereby taking virtual control of all the operations of the new company that is expected to be formed by March 1997.
The managerial structure essentially consists of country group organisation (CGO) and country sector organisations (CSO), representing various business divisions and corporate functions. The country president heads the country group organisation.
HCG managing director V S Sohoni was not available for comment. A Sandoz India (which is authorised to comment on Novartis India) spokesperson said in a faxed reply, We cannot announce to the public, via the press or otherwise, details of nominations to managerial positions in a company not yet in existence since, in India, formation of Novartis is subject to local shareholders' and high court approval.
