The stock which rose from Rs 300 to Rs 475 in a couple of week retreat sharply during last two days.
Yesterday, Silverline declined by 9.29 per cent to close at Rs 382. In a brisk trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the scrip registered volumes of 1.27 crore shares while on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), it reported a volume of 1.72 crore shares. The combined value on BSE and NSE was Rs 1,283.31 crore.
Earlier on Tuesday, Silverline Technologies said it has deferred a proposal to acquire the entire shareholding of a software firm in the United States.
The company's directors decided to consider making a strategic investment to acquire six per cent in US-based TIS Worldwide Inc, the BSE said.
