Every year the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Delhi is inviting applications from `chartered accountant firms for allotment of audit of the Co-operative Societies. One of the prerequisites is to enclose the latest confirmatory letter/certificates about the particulars of the firm from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
The above procedure consumes lot of time and cost not only to CA Firms but also to ICAI who has to issue this confirmatory letter/certificate.
This can be avoided as every year ICAI is sends particulars of firms for information and corrections, if any, by around February/March. The same are included in the List of Firms which is published every year . A photocopy of this letter should be enough as to the proof of the latest particulars of the CA Firm.
Alternatively, a column can be added in the prescribed application form-page No. at which firms name and particulars appears in the latest list of firms of the ICAI. If accepted, it shall save lot of time and cost of CA Firms as well as ICAI on this account.
