For the price trends post-listing, prices for scrips were taken from March 1995 till March 1997. For each scrip, we took the average monthly price beginning March 1995. Then, the simple arithmetical average of these average prices was calculated to give one overall average figure for the whole time span between March 1995 and March 1997.

A standard three-month gap was given to all issues for post-listing considerations. That means for a issue made in March 1995, the final average price would be the arithmetic mean of the average monthly prices between July 1995 and March 1997. The high and the low attai- ned by each scrip during this period was also attained.

Nevertheless, we found that many issues were not listed on the BSE. That would mean that either these scrips were never listed, or they were listed on other bourses. Else, they are so infrequently traded that price trends are simply not available.
