Traded Volume At Rs 202.05 Crore

The wholesale debt market (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked a traded volume of Rs 201.05 crore to which the treasury bills segment contributed Rs 17 crore, while the ICICI bonds accounted for a volume of Rs 8.50 crore.
The day saw another dull trading session with only 36 deals being struck at NSE.
The 11.75 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 was traded for Rs 30 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.39 per cent. The paper was traded for a low of Rs 100.80 and a high of Rs 100.90. The paper was also traded in the odd lot segment for Rs 40 lakh at an yield of 11.73 per cent.
The 13.62 per cent government security maturing in 1998 was traded for Rs 35 crore at a weighted average yield 8.94 per cent.
The 11.19 per cent gilt maturing in 2005 saw a bulk deal of Rs 25 crore and was traded at an yield of Rs 11.92, priced at Rs 96.45.
The 11.64 per cent government paper maturing in 2000 was traded at a weighted average yield 11.15 per cent. The 364-day treasury bill maturing on July 3, 1998, was traded for Rs 7 crore at a weighted average yield of 7.64 per cent.
