Undeserving

Journalism seems to have touched it lowest ebb possibly because of intensive competition from the visual media. But a leading daily like yours falling prey to it and publishing Charles Shobhrajs photo and article prominently is surely a pity. I cannot understand what is so great about this man for you to give him an extensive coverage.

It was also shocking to see the TV news which showed journalists and TV crew grappling with each other to get an interview from him.

India is such a vast country and has no dearth of great people in every possible field. I am sure there must be a lot of them doing great work and surely deserve front page coverage.

Let us not project to the world that we have nothing to offer except glorification of criminals.
