FT Mastering Enterprise is the first successor and sister series to Mastering Management, the Financial Times ground-breaking introduction to general management. Like Mastering Management it aims to bring the best of current academic thinking to a wide business and management audience and follows a similar format. It is written by leading academics from business schools around the world including Imperial College, Insead, London Business School, Harvard Business School, Babson College and others.
What is it about?
Building on the FTs Mastering Management, Mastering Enterprise (and other FT Mastering series that will follow) will take an in-depth look at specific management and business topics. Mastering Enterprise is about enterprise in the widest sense.
It will cover every stage from starting a company including the development and funding of ideas and opportunities, raising finance and managing growth to how to build and sustain entrepreneurial attitudes in large organisations and the public sector.
Each issue in the 12-part series has a theme and together they give comprehensive coverage of this most important aspect of business how to take ideas and turn them into profitable businesses. A full contents list of the series is given below.
Who is it for?
Like the FTs Mastering Management, Mastering Enterprise is aimed at a wide range of readers. Anyone planning or even thinking about starting their own business, existing companies ambitious to grow faster, management teams contemplating a buy-out, chief executives and senior managers seeking to encourage entrepreneurship in large organisations and general readers keen to gain an insight into the latest academic thinking on a vital topic, will find Mastering Enterprise stimulating and essential reading.
