Workers Lathicharged

Trouble started when some workers, standing in a prohibited area in the East Gate area of the secretariat, got into an argument with the police stationed there, prompting the baton-charge.

Matters, however, took a serious turn when news of this reached the three ministers present at the meeting. No one was seriously injured in the lathi-charge.
