The panellists were experts from the industry, viz. Mr. Sindhu Sameer, Executive Director, Nomura Securities, and Mr. Pradeep Narasimha, Director, Zen Communications & Solutions Ltd., Tanzania.

The panellists made the entire session very lively and interactive by involving the audience in the discussion. The session commenced with a screening of Axis Bank commercial which emphasizes on loans, one of the most basic financial products. The speakers explained about the uses and importance of financial products such as loan or credit cards at various stages of a person’s life. The speakers explained that the financial products mimic the FMCG products to some extent but still there exists a great difference between them. The next commercial highlighted the insurance products. The panel went on to discuss the ways in which the insurance products are marketed. The speakers talked in detail about marketing of products such as mutual funds, SIP, and other wealth management products. They went on to answer the questions raised by the students. The entire session was indeed enlightening and ended with a healthy discussion.
