IPL 2019 playoffs: Meet the top four teams to battle it out for the title

Three spots had already been grabbed by Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians while SRH qualified for the playoff after KKR's defeat on Sunday.

 

As IPL league matches ended on Sunday and four teams have now remained to battle it out for the coveted title, let's look at who made the cut and who faced elimination.

Three spots for playoffs had already been grabbed by Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, while there was an intense fight for the fourth spot..

Chennai comfortably qualified for a playoff berth while Delhi defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday to get the coveted seat after 7 years. Mumbai got the better of Sunrisers Hyderabad in super over at Wankhede stadium to earn a plyoff berth.

There was an intense fight between four teams for the last playoff seat as Royal Challengers Bangalore were out of the contention.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were at the fourth spot in points table with 12 points while Kolkata Knight Riders beat Kings XI Punjab to
climb to fifth position with 12 points.



Rajasthan Royals lost to Delhi Capitals on Saturday while Kings XI Punjab were easily defeated by CSK on Sunday. 

Kolkata Knight Riders had an oppotunity to make it to the playoff but they couldn't produce a convincing performance against Mumbai Indians and were eliminated at the Wankhede Stadium.
