Karandeep Singh, managing director at Sapient India, enjoys a game of golf or tennis with his kids on his Nintendo Wii gaming console and relaxes with his iPod on the drive back home. More from the gadget freak reveals an interesting device he would like to invent.

One of your buys you regret spending so much money on?
There aren’t any I can think of.

Who’s your one-stop gizmo guru?
I normally like to get the feel of the gadget and its performance before I consider buying it. However, I definitely go by the reviews in various IT and technology magazines.

A gadget you have been waiting to buy?
MacBook Air. It’s promise of being the world’s thinnest notebook in size and multi-touch facility will make for a good buy.

A gizmo that is a great stress buster?
My Nintendo Wii gaming console is a great stress buster. It lets me engage in an enthralling game of tennis and golf with my family. The unparalleled ease of use and interactivity, of the Wii remote and Nunchuk adds to the fun. So that’s really something that keeps me going.

A gadget that has proved to be a lifesaver?
That has to be my cellphone because I’m always in touch with family, plus it also saves them the worries if one is going to be running late from work.

A gadget that would be a better companion than an iPod?
No gadget can be a better companion than my iPod.

A gadget that you think should be banned?
The ebook reader because it can never replicate the experience of reading a book. There is nothing like picking up a book and reading it, and reading it on screen takes away from it.

Tell us about a gizmo that you would want to invent.
My ideal gadget would be a wireless device that could charge my cellphone battery. That would be of great help!

A gizmo which has been of great help to you, apart from your cellphone or BlackBerry?
That would be my iPod, as it helps me unwind while I’m driving back home.
