Aztec too gets I-T notice

Aztec Software & Technology Services Limited has informed BSE that the company has received a notice from the income tax authorities for payment of Rs 9.15 crore as taxes under the Income Tax Act, 1961 "primarily due to the adjustments made to the company's transfer pricing under Section 92C of the act for the financial year 2001-02."

The company has been advised by its legal advisers/experts that it has a strong case and hence will be "preferring an appeal against the order before Commissioner (Appeals), the first appellate authority," Aztec said on Wednesday.
