Aztecsoft (formerly Aztec Software) plans to recruit around 700 people across its locations in Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad this year.

This apart, the provider of software engineering services is looking at a growth of 45 per cent in revenues this year.

Addressing the media, V Chandrasekaran, chief executive officer and managing director of Aztecsoft, said, "Our total headcount is around 2,000 and we expect to recruit 600-700 people this year. In terms of revenues, we earned less than $45 million last year and are looking at a growth rate of 40-45 per cent this year as compared to industry standards of 30-35 per cent."

Aztecsoft acquired Disha Technologies, a Pune-based test services company, in 2004.

The independent test services brand, Disha, will now be called Aztecsoft-itest. "The process to legally merge Disha with Aztecsoft is on," Chandrasekaran said.

Meanwhile, Aztecsoft has not ruled out any acquisitions for this year. "We are looking at companies operating in the Wimax and enterprise testing space," he added.
