IT service provider Cognizant today said it has signed an agreement with the $5-billion communications company Harris Corporation for providing software development services.
Under the agreement, Cognizant would provide software development services of media management software products for advertising agencies, television stations, broadcast and cable networks, a company statement here said.
"At a time when digitization is driving a significant change in broadcast media, Cognizant will work closely with Harris to help its customers realise the full promise of new technologies and processes," Cognizant President and CEO Francisco D'Souza said.
Cognizant would work closely with Harris on leading-edge research and development for new products, it said.
Cognizant currently has 50 global delivery centres and has more than 78,400 employees, the release added.
