Besides, the Rs 70-crore company is also planning to partner with an Israeli company that is into security products.
"Around 70 per cent of the security threat in local area network (LAN) comes from the employees themselves. So, access to sensitive information has to be restricted to a few. We would like to enter this segment wherein access to some data can be restricted to a few by mid-2006," K Surendar, country manager of Dax Networks, told Business Standard.
"We have five network integrators in Hyderabad and would like to increase this number by around four times in a few months from now," Surendar said, adding that Andhra Pradesh contributes to 10 per cent of the company's revenues.
"We have supplied routers for 200 e-seva centres across Andhra and also for the AP State Road Transport Corporation for 23 locations across Hyderabad and Rangareddy with regard to ticket registrations. Besides for South Central Railways, we have provided management information systems in 37 locations," he said.
"At present, the routers market is worth Rs 800 crore and we have a market share of around four per cent. In the next couple of years, we would like our market share to grow to 10 per cent," Surendar added.
"We are looking at extending the success that we have achieved in Andhra in the government, railways and telecom sectors to the corporate side as well," he said, adding that the company is also in talks with a few corporate entities in the state to provide its solutions.
On a nationwide basis, the company has provided its solutions to Reliance Infocomm, National Stock Exchange which uses 3,500 routers of Dax as on date, BSNL and so on. Besides, for the Airports Authority of India along with Electronics Corporation of India Limited, it has provided a solution that enables communication between a non-English speaking pilot and the Air Traffic Controller.
The company has technology partners in Israel and China and is looking at tying up with another Israeli partner that is into security products in networking. Dax is also in discussions with Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Marathwada University for providing networking solutions. The company is looking at ending this year with a turnover of around Rs 75 crore.
