Flextronics Q4 net up 42% to Rs 30 cr

Flextronics Software Systems (FSS) reported a 42 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 30 crore during the quarter ended March 2005, compared with the corresponding quarter in the previous financial year.
 
The company's total income during the quarter grew 29 per cent to Rs 133 crore and sales grew 28 per cent to Rs 130.1 crore during the fourth quarter of 2004-05.
 
On a standalone basis, FSS witnessed a 42 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 30 crore during the fourth quarter and a 29 per cent growth in total income at Rs 132.4 crore during the fourth quarter of 2004-05.
 
The company closed the year 2004-05 with a 40 per cent year-on-year growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 107.8 crore. Consolidated sales grew 33 per cent during 2004-05 over the last year to touch Rs 481 crore.
 
On a standalone basis, the company posted 40 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 108 crore during 2004-05. Sales grew 33 per cent to Rs 476.1 crore over the last year.
 
While the company added 12 new customers during the fourth quarter of 2004-05, 205 employees were hired during Q4 of 2004. The earning per share grew 39 per cent to Rs 31.65 in 2004-05, compared to that in the previous financial year.
 
Announcing the results, FSS president and managing director Arun Kumar said, "We are pleased with our 11 straight quarters of predictable performance. We will strive to carry this momentum forward".
