India Gadgetz Expo 2016 (IGE 2016), dubbed by organisers as the India's largest consumer technology exhibition, will be held here from October 5.

The three-day event aims to bring together latest innovations in consumer technology and discuss relevant topics on Digital India, Make in India, Smart Cities and Startups, that are shaping tech-savvy India, a release from the organisers said.

The event will see participation from companies such as Oppo, Intex, Creative, Epson and others, as well as some brand launches, it said.

Prominent personalities from the industry and the government will be present.

Key announcements such as major partnerships, brand launches and new initiatives from the Government will also be made at the event, it added.

IGE 2016, organisers said, is expected to host a wide range of audiences and an estimated one lakh visitors of which 20,000 will be B2B,70,000 consumers and 10,000 delegates.

"The demand for consumer technology is intensifying in India. While metros account for a major chunk of technology consumption, non-metros and Tier II and III markets are not far behind," IGE founder Sanjeev Kumar said.
