i-flex launches Flexcube on Linux

i-flex solutions, an IT solutions provider to the financial services industry worldwide, has announced the availability of its flagship product suite, Flexcube, on Linux.
 
i-flex plans to accelerate its Linux based deployments to meet the increasing customer demand for such industry-standard solutions.
 
"This qualification on Linux is an important milestone in our ongoing strategy to continuously enrich the Flexcube suite and maintain its worldwide leadership position. This further expands the platform independence of the Flexcube suite and enables financial institutions to reduce IT costs without compromising on performance," R Ravisankar, CEO, international operations, i-flex solutions, said.
 
i-flex has said Flexcube on an Intel Itanium 2 based platform running Linux, would enable banks and other financial institutions to lower their Total Cost of Ownership.
 
According to i-flex, the Intel Itanium 2 processor is uniquely architected for demanding enterprise and technical applications.
 
"We are pleased to see i-flex qualify Flexcube for Linux and Intel Itanium 2 - based platforms. The joint solution will allow banks to make the strategic shift and help reduce their total operating costs," John Davies, vice president, solutions market development group, Intel Corporation, said.
 
i-flex solutions has serviced over 500 customers in more than 105 countries. The company's range of products and customised services enable financial institutions to cut costs, respond rapidly to market needs, enhance customer service levels and mitigate risk.
 
i-flex has over 4,000 employees operating from 11 development centres across India, Singapore and the USA. The company has a strong global reach with a sales, marketing and support presence covering 22 overseas locations, including subsidiaries in the US, Netherlands and Singapore.
 
i-flex also has a strong alliance as well as implementation relationships with companies like Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Oracle.
