Virtual computing at Mother Dairy
During the lockdown, IBM enabled 500 employees of Mother Dairy to work from home by building a virtual computing environment. It is also ensuring 100 per cent monitoring of Mother Dairy’s data centre and disaster recovery infrastructure.
Recently, Nasscom and EY conducted a study to determine the pulse of Indian enterprises in evaluating and deploying AI technologies. Among the key findings:
- 60 per cent of the business leaders surveyed believe that AI will disrupt their businesses withinthree years
- Yet only 25 per cent of enterprises have deployed AI solutions
- Top three reasons for implementing AI —operational efficiency, customer experience and revenue growth
- BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) takes the lead on AI adoption, with 36 per cent of organisations leveraging it, followed by retail (25 per cent), health care (20 per cent) and agriculture (8 per cent)
- 40 per cent of business leaders said talent shortage is a key hurdle in implementing and scaling up AI solutions
- 74 per cent of enterprises have either a formal strategy or C-suite sponsorship to initiate or scale up AI programmes
- 57 per cent of business leaders said they trust AI to make strategic and/or operational decisions.
