The company expects India to further drive business by developing more products and services.
The company has development centres in Boston, Nashville, Chicago, Miami and Bangalore, and a couple of more cities employing around 300 research and development (R&D) personnel. Of these, 150 are located at its Bangalore office.
"Though we do not have a specific expansion plan for Bangalore, we expect it to rise to the level of our largest development centre at Boston in terms of work. Bangalore is a strategic centre for the company," Roger Sumner, Senior Vice-president, Technology Office and Development, Aspect Software, said.
Aspect Software, which employs approximately 2,000 employees, has developed various products for the BPO sector.
They include Signature products that offer a seamless migration from traditional voice to Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based voice over internet protocol (VoIP); Unified Call Centre products that unite multiple capabilities such as automatic call distribution, predictive dialling, speech-enabled voice portal on a single platform and PerformanceEdge products, which combine workforce management, recording and quality management.
According to Sumner, Unified Contact Centre and PerformanceEdge are two of the fastest-growing products of the company.
"More companies are seeking these products since they help them streamline their businesses. The Bangalore centre too has contributed towards the development of the products," he added.
The $610 million company also offers professional services, technical services and education services to the contact centres. The company's products and services are utilised by 13 BPO firms in India. The company intends to tap the Indian market for growth as the BPO sector is expanding rapidly.
"Our products are deployed by most global firms with BPO operations in India. We intend to strengthen our relationship with such clients," Sumner said.
