iSOFT to ramp up India presence

Healthcare software solutions provider iSOFT, is planning to ramp up its India operations by expanding its workforce and increasing its presence in India.

iSOFT employs about 4,000 people worldwide with approximately 50 per cent in Chennai and Bangalore.

As part of its expansion plans, the company recruited 300 employees over the last quarter and intends to recruit another 300 professionals in the coming months. The company will hire professionals with varied skill sets, including developers, testers, technical architects and designers.

The company is also looking for healthcare professionals with IT background to add to its existing pool of doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, and pharmacists.

The company is also increasing its presence in the Indian healthcare sector, which is expected to have a market size of $4 billion (Rs 19,600 crore) by 2011.
